Spider-Man (Tom Holland) meets Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) in Sony’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home”.
The deal, which was announced Thursday, includes films like “Morbius”, “Uncharted” and “Bullet Train”.
Netflix will also be able to place films like “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, as well as future Venom and other Spider-Man films on its platform. Franchises like Jumanji and Bad Boys are also included in the deal. Netflix will also have access to other titles from Sony’s movie library.
As part of this partnership, Sony will offer Netflix a first glimpse of all the films it plans to stream directly or decide to purchase a streaming license at a later date. Netflix has committed to making a number of these films over the course of the deal.
The duration of the transaction and its financial data were not disclosed by the two companies.
