Genshin Impact update 2.0 will be unveiled in a future feed this Friday, July 9. Despite the numbering, it is a direct continuation of the 1.6 update which was uploaded last month. The announcement will confirm or deny the leaks and rumors surrounding the content of the update, which suggests fans could be major additions.
There’s no official word on what the stream will feature, but the biggest leak points to the introduction of the Inazuma region into the game. Other reports suggest that cross-recording across all platforms -forms is also incoming, a feature currently available between PC and mobile only. Take all of this with a few grains of salt as, again, nothing has been officially confirmed, although it is probably safe to expect quality of life additions in the general sense. In terms of things we know, the Switch version of Genshin Impact is currently in the works (and was recently delayed). There’s a good chance we can get an update on his status as well.
According to Genshin Impact Twitter account, you will need to log into their official Twitch channel to watch the presentation. Those of us in the United States will need to set an early alarm as the flow begins at 5:00 am Pacific / 8:00 am Eastern Time. If you can’t watch it live, the video will upload to the game’s YouTube channel at 9:00 a.m. Pacific / 12:00 p.m. EST.
2021 has been a busy year for Genshin Impact thanks to numerous updates that have brought a ton of content to the free-to-play game. These have included various in-game events, the addition of player accommodation, the launch of an improved version of the PlayStation 5 and, of course, a bunch of new characters to spend precious primogems. The game doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon, which is probably good news given that it turned out to be a quality experience and one of our favorite games when it launched last year.
Genshin Impact is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, iOS and Android.
